The Rotary year 2023–2024 in Indonesia RIDistrict 3410 began not with applause, but with action.
Across cities, towns, and coastal areas, Rotarians showed up quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly.
They showed up to tree-planting and mangrove conservation programs, protecting the environment while educating communities about sustainability.
They showed up in schools, supporting literacy, donating books, renovating classrooms, and introducing digital learning to prepare children for the future.
They showed up in villages needing clean water, installing water filtration systems, wells, and sanitation facilities bringing dignity, health, and hope.
In health initiatives, Rotary Clubs in RIDistrict 3410 organized free medical check-ups, blood donation drives, cataract screenings, and health education programs. Nutrition and stunting-prevention projects supported mothers and young children, reminding families that prevention is a form of care.
Economic empowerment was equally important. Through entrepreneurship training, support for UMKM, and women’s empowerment programs, Rotary helped individuals build sustainable livelihoods. When disasters struck, RIDistrict 3410 responded quickly—providing food, clean water, clothing, and emergency relief to affected communities.
Each Rotarian came from a different profession, generation, and background. Yet they were united by one principle:
Service Above Self
Throughout the year, collaboration became the district’s strength. Rotary Clubs worked alongside Rotaract, Interact, Youth Exchange students, community leaders, schools, and local partners building bridges across age, culture, and experience.
There were long days and challenging moments. But no one stood alone. Encouragement flowed freely, often expressed in simple words that carried deep meaning:
“You are a great person.”
Not because of titles.
Not because of recognition.
But because greatness was defined by compassion, commitment, and consistency.
By the end of the Rotary year 2023–2024, success could be measured in numbers projects completed, communities served, lives touched. But the true legacy of RIDistrict 3410 was something more enduring:
A district that believed in people.
A culture of kindness and collaboration.
A shared conviction that service, when done with heart, changes both the giver and the receiver.
To every Rotarian of District 3410:
You are a great person.
